Picon 30 is a topical cream that contains Pimecrolimus, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent. It is used to treat mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children as young as 2 years old.
Composition: Picon 30 contains Pimecrolimus 1% (w/w) as its active ingredient.
Mechanism of Action: Pimecrolimus works by:
- Inhibiting the production of chemical mediators that contribute to inflammation
- Reducing the activation of immune cells that contribute to inflammation
- Modulating the immune response to reduce inflammation
Indications: Picon 30 is indicated for the topical treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children as young as 2 years old.
Dosage: Apply a thin layer of Picon 30 to the affected area 2 times a day, or as directed by your doctor.
Administration:
- Apply the cream to the affected area and gently massage it in until it is fully absorbed.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream.
