HUMOG 75

HUMOG 75 is a highly purified urinary-derived gonadotropin containing 75 IU FSH + 75 IU LH per vial. It is used for ovulation induction in women and spermatogenesis stimulation in men with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

Composition

• Active Ingredients:

  • Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH): 75 IU

  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH): 75 IU

• Source: Purified from human urine

• Form: Lyophilized powder with solvent for reconstitution

• Excipients: Lactose, sodium phosphate

Mechanism of Action

• FSH: Stimulates follicle development in ovaries

• LH: Supports estrogen production and ovulation

• In men: Stimulates spermatogenesis when combined with hCG

• 75 IU IM 3 times/week (with hCG)

• Minimum treatment: 3 months

1. Reconstitute with provided solvent

2. Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly

3. Rotate injection sites

Uses (Indications)

✅ Female Infertility:

• Anovulation (PCOS, hypothalamic origin)

• Controlled ovarian stimulation (IVF/IUI)

✅ Male Infertility:

• Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism

Storage Conditions

• Unreconstituted: 2-8°C (refrigerate)

• After mixing: Use immediately

• Do not freeze

Key Recommendations

✔ Monitor with:

• Ultrasound (follicle tracking)

• Estradiol levels

• Cervical mucus changes

✔ Start with lower doses in:

• PCOS patients

• High responders

✔ Cancel cycle if:

• 3 dominant follicles (ovulation induction)

• Estradiol >4000 pg/mL

• OHSS symptoms

Important Safety Notes

⚠ Black Box Warnings:

• Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)

• Multiple pregnancies

• Ovarian torsion

⚠ Contraindications:

• Primary ovarian failure

• Uncontrolled thyroid/adrenal disorders

• Pituitary tumors

⚠ Side Effects:

• Mild: Injection site reactions, headache

• Serious: OHSS, thromboembolism

⚠ Pregnancy: Discontinue immediately if pregnancy occurs
