Zoltero 4mg Zoledronic Acid Infusion is a medication used to treat:

- Bone Metastases: cancer that has spread to the bones and causes bone damage and pain
Composition: Each vial of Zoltero contains 4mg of Zoledronic Acid (an active pharmaceutical ingredient), a bisphosphonate.
Mechanism of Action: Zoledronic Acid works by:
- Inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts, which are cells that break down bone tissue
- Reducing the formation of new bone tissue by inhibiting the activity of osteoblasts, which are cells that build bone tissue
- Reducing the release of calcium from bones and increasing the excretion of calcium in the urine
Dosage: The recommended dose of Zoltero is:
- 4mg as a single infusion every 3-4 months, or as directed by the healthcare provider
Side Effects: Common side effects of Zoltero include:
