Composition:

Irnocam contains Irinotecan, a medication that is a topoisomerase I inhibitor.

Indications:

Irnocam is indicated for the treatment of:

1. Colorectal cancer in combination with fluorouracil and leucovorin
2. Lung cancer in combination with carboplatin and cisplatin
3. Breast cancer in combination with docetaxel and fluorouracil

Mechanism of Action:

Irinotecan works by:

1. Inhibiting the activity of topoisomerase I, which helps to repair DNA damage in cancer cells
2. Preventing the repair of DNA damage caused by chemotherapy
3. Inducing apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells

Dosage and Administration:

The recommended dosage of Irnocam is:

• 100mg injected intravenously over 90 minutes every 3 weeks

Side Effects:

1. Nausea and vomiting
2. Diarrhea
3. Fatigue
4. Fever
5. Hair loss
6. Anemia
7. Leukopenia

Serious side effects can include:

1. Severe diarrhea and dehydration
2. Neutropenia and febrile neutropenia
3. Cardiac toxicity (including arrhythmias and cardiomyopathy)
4. Pulmonary toxicity (including interstitial pneumonitis)
5. Gastrointestinal perforation

Contraindications:

Irnocam is contraindicated in patients with:

1. Hypersensitivity to Irinotecan or other topoisomerase I inhibitors
2. Severe liver disease
3. Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Precautions:

1. Patients with a history of liver disease should be closely monitored while receiving Irnocam.
2. Patients with a history of cardiac disease should be closely monitored while receiving Irnocam.
3. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should be closely monitored while receiving Irnocam.

Patient Counseling:

• Patients should be counseled on the importance of taking their medication as directed and not missing doses.
• Patients should be instructed to report any signs of nausea or vomiting.
• Patients should be advised to report any changes in their appetite or weight loss.

Storage and Handling:

• Store at room temperature (20°C to 25°C) and protected from light.
• Do not freeze or expose to direct sunlight.
• Use within 24 months of opening.
