Betnovate GM Cream
Composition: Betnovate GM Cream contains the following active ingredients:
- Betamethasone: 0.1% w/w (a potent corticosteroid)
- Gentamicin: 0.1% w/w (an antibiotic)
- Miconazole: 2% w/w (an antifungal)
Mechanism of Action:
- Betamethasone: Exhibits anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties, reducing inflammation and immune responses in the skin.
- Gentamicin: Works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thus targeting and killing bacteria responsible for infections.
- Miconazole: Disrupts fungal cell membrane formation, leading to the death of fungal cells, and is effective against certain dermatophytes and yeast.
Dosage:
- Apply a thin layer of Betnovate GM Cream to the affected area(s) of the skin once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional.
- Avoid applying to large areas or for prolonged periods unless instructed by a doctor.
Usage:
- Indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions complicated by bacterial and/or fungal infections. Commonly used for conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, fungal infections, and other similar skin issues.
- Not recommended for use on the face, groin, or underarms unless prescribed by a healthcare professional.
