Tenovate M Cream
Composition
- Clobetasol (0.05% w/w): A potent topical corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation and suppress the immune response in the skin.
- Miconazole (2% w/w): An antifungal agent that is effective against a variety of fungal and yeast infections.
Mechanism of Action
- Clobetasol: Reduces inflammation by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and blocking the immune response in the skin. It also causes vasoconstriction, which reduces redness and swelling.
- Miconazole: Works by interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death and inhibition of fungal growth.
Dosage
- Application: Typically, a thin layer of Tenovate M Cream should be applied to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Duration: The duration of treatment should not exceed the period recommended by a physician, generally for a few weeks, depending on the severity of the condition.
Usage
- Indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders that are also complicated by secondary fungal infections, such as eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis.
- The cream should be applied only to the affected areas and should not be used on large body surfaces or under occlusive dressings unless directed by a healthcare professional.
